Solar System Module

Launch Live Demo

This project was completed for a graduate course in the winter of 2015. The guidelines for this assignment were to learn about an e-learning authoring tool we were unfamiliar with and to use it to create a deliverable that demonstrates our learning.

Work Process
My process for completing this project was as follows:

Planning
I started by researching Articulate Storyline to determine if I would be able to access it and whether it would be appropriate for the assignment. After confirming that Articulate offers a free 30 day trial, I conducted additional research to see how it could be used for eLearning and whether it was something I could learn in a relatively short amount of time. When I confirmed that the tool met my criteria for the assignment, I watched tutorials and viewed projects in the Community Showcase on Articulate’s site before getting started with the tool. After reviewing the basics, I spent some time working with the tool and trying out its different features.

Application
To illustrate what I had learned, I chose to create an e-learning module. To prepare I selected a topic, planned the branching scenarios and interactions, and determined the layout, graphics and text for each slide. Then I built out the module in Storyline, tested it to make sure the branching and interactions functioned correctly, and performed troubleshooting and revisions.
